The Annual Meeting of the General Membership (meeting) for the Sandy Plains Baseball Association (SPBA) was held on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 7:00PM virtually and in person as required in our SPBA By-Laws & Operating Rules Article V, Section II. The meeting was open to all members of the SPBA which includes all parents and legal guardians of children participating in SPBA Baseball. Adults without children in the baseball program who participate with SPBA as volunteers or serve on the SPBA Board of Directors are also included as members of the SPBA.
During the meeting, as stated in the SPBA By-Laws & Operating Rules Article IV, Section I, we presented to the General Membership the amendment to the By-Laws that was approved by the Board of Directors during the preceding twelve (12) months. In addition a short report of the organization’s finances was delivered.
The annual meeting is also the time to nominate candidates for the SPBA Board of Directors (Board) for the upcoming 2024 – 2025 season. As provided in the SPBA By-Laws & Operating Rules: Nominations and Elections section any member in good standing may run for a Board position. As there were no positions for which there were multiple nominees who confirmed willingness to accept the position there will be no voting required. Your 2024-2025 SPBA Board of Directors will begin their terms on July 1, 2024 to run through June 30, 2025.
