11U Wildcats USSSA Gold Bracket Champions of the Cobb County Global NIT




The 11U Sandy Plains Wildcats won five games straight to be the USSSA Gold Bracket Champions of the Cobb County Global NIT the weekend of March 23-24.  Wildcat #14 Jayden Bivins hit his first out of the park home run. 

12U Prowlers: Runner Up in the Cooperstown Dream Park Tournament



The 12U Sandy Plains Prowlers from Marietta, Georgia won 10-straight games in four days to
reach the championship game in the 104-team Cooperstown Dreams Park baseball tournament
in Cooperstown, New York. The Prowlers finished runner up before 2,000 fans and a live
webcam audience in Little Majors Stadium to complete an amazing week of baseball from July
20-27, 2018.
The Prowlers went 6-0 in pool play and outscored their opponents, 104-11, against teams from
six different states, to earn the number one seed. On championship Thursday, the Prowlers won
four-straight games and hit 18 home runs to beat the 32-seed from New Jersey, 17-seed from
Maryland, 8-seed from California, and 5-seed from Wisconsin. In the semifinals, the Prowlers
overcame a four-run deficit in the bottom of the fifth and scored 11 runs, including three-straight
home runs, to earn the victory. For the tournament, the Prowlers hit 38 home runs and
outscored their opponents, 157-22.
The Prowlers were the first team from Sandy Plains Baseball to earn a number one seed and
play in the championship game in the 32-year history of Cooperstown Dreams Park. The
Prowlers finish the season with a record of 65-11 and five tournament championships.

12U Prowlers: Triple Crown Firecracker Finale CHAMPIONS



The 12U Sandy Plains Prowlers completed their regular-season by winning the Triple Crown
Firecracker Finale championship on June 30-July 1 at Midway Park in Cumming. This was the
Prowlers fifth tournament championship and improved their overall record to 54-10. The
Prowlers outscored their opponents 41-15 to win the Triple Crown medals. The Prowlers finish
the season on July 20-27 at Cooperstown Dreams Park in Cooperstown, New York.

10U Wildcats-White: TRIPLE CROWN GEORGIA STATE CHAMPIONS



June 8-10- The 10U Sandy Plains Wildcats-White won five-straight games over three days to win the Triple Crown Georgia State Championship. The Wildcats outscored their opponents, 66-13, to earn the championship rings.

11U Wildcats: TRIPLE CROWN GEORGIA STATE CHAMPIONS



The 11U Sandy Plains Wildcats won seven-straight games over three days to win the 19-team Triple Crown Georgia State Championship on June 8-9-10. The Wildcats outscored their opponents, 78-21, to earn the championship rings.


12U Prowlers: TRIPLE CROWN GEORGIA STATE CHAMPIONS



The 12U Sandy Plains Prowlers won seven-straight games over three days to win the 22-team
Triple Crown Georgia State Championship on June 8-9-10 at the East Cobb Baseball Complex.
The Prowlers outscored their opponents, 84-25, to earn the championship rings. This was the
second straight tournament championship for the Prowlers and the fourth in the past five
tournaments. The Prowlers have won 13-straight games and are 29-1 in the last 30 games
played. The Prowlers overall record improves to 46-8.

12U Prowlers: Champions of the Training Legends Cooperstown Send Off Tournament



The 12U Sandy Plains Prowlers won the 16-team Training Legends Cooperstown Send Off
tournament on June 2-3 at All Tournament Players Park in Marietta. The Prowlers went 5-0 and
outscored their opponents, 42-10, to win the championship. The Prowlers pitchers combined for
a team ERA of 1.85 and hitters slugged five home runs. This was the Prowlers third
championship of the season and improves their overall record to 39-8. The Prowlers have won
22 of the past 23 games they have played.
In pool play, the Prowlers beat the East Cobb A’s, 8-1 and run-ruled the East Side Cyclones, 12-
2 in a game that ended at midnight. The Prowlers earned the number two seed. In the
semifinals, the Prowlers hit a fifth inning, towering three-run home run, to beat the East Cobb
Yankees, 8-5. In the semifinals, the Prowlers beat the Ocee Orioles, 7-1. In the championship,
the Prowlers hit three home runs, including one over the scoreboard and one that hit the
scoreboard, and pulled away late to beat the top-seeded Smyrna Slammers, 7-1.

12u Prowlers: Champions of the Cal Ripken Tri State Tournament



With the backdrop of the beautiful Smoky Mountains in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and playing
1,000 feet above sea level on flawless field turf, the 12U Sandy Plains Prowlers won the 20-
team, Ripken Baseball Big Bend Tournament on May 5-6. The Prowlers went 5-0 to capture
their second-straight tournament championship. The Prowlers beat Mizuno Gwinnett in an all
Georgia championship game. The Prowlers overall season record improves to 29 wins, 7
losses, and a 10-game winning streak.

10u Sandy Plains Prowlers are Champions of the Training Legends May-Hem West tournament the weekend of May 5th-6th.  Prowlers bring home the victory on Sunday and our own Dominique Walker #24 hit his first out of the park home run!

10u Sandy Plains Prowlers traveled to the beautiful Pigeon Forge Cal Ripken Experience to compete in the Cal Ripken Tri State Tournament.  Prowlers were runner up after competing in 5 games over two days against teams from several different states on April 28th and 29th.

10U Sandy Plains Prowlers place second in Training Legends Peach State Kickoff on March 10th and 11th.  Prowlers went 2-0 for the weekend but placed runner up after being rained out on Sunday.

12U Prowlers: Champions of the Grand Slam Homerun Tournament



The 12U Sandy Plains Prowlers won the Grand Slam Home Run Derby tournament on April 28-
29 at Patriots Park in Woodstock. The Prowlers went 5-0 and out scored their opponents, 55-11
to win the championship rings. The Prowlers overall season record improves to 24 wins and 7
losses.

Congratulations to the Sandy Plains 10U Prowlers runner up finish in Southern Sports Fall Classic! Their first tournament of the season.  Played 3 great games against tough opponents.  Go Prowlers!

11U Prowlers: Runner Up In USSSA Global World Series!


The 11U Sandy Plains Prowlers finished runner up in the Platinum (highest) division of the 30-
team USSSA Open Global World Series in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The Prowlers won 7 games
and lost 2. They played eight different teams from five states. The Prowlers, who were the
second seed, played the top seed, Premier Baseball Futures from Houston, Texas, and won 7-5
to advance to the championship game. The Prowlers finished the season with a record of 50
wins and 15 losses. The prior two seasons the Prowlers have won a combined 101 games and
a .748 winning percentage, including seven championships and seven runner-up finishes.
