COVID-19 Refund

Spring parents,

We sent the echeck refunds for Spring to the email address used for registration.  Please check your junk mail if you did not receive your check or email [email protected]

SPBA Families –
 
Given the fact that we are processing a large number of checks and our new account verification is taking a bit longer than previously expected, e-check processing will be delayed.  We have been informed that account verification can take up to four business days.  Given this timeline, we anticipate to be able to process your refund and email out e-checks sometime next week.  We will send out additional confirmation once e-checks have been sent out.

SPBA Families,

Below, we are resending our two prior communications from 4/2 and 4/3 explaining the refund for this Spring Season and option to donate to a scholarship fund.  We are sending this communication from both Sports Connect and a different email system because we realized that some families have unsubscribed to Sports Connect emails or maybe having some other issue in receiving emails from Sports Connect. 

The e-checks will not be sent via Sports Connect’s email program.  Rather, they will come from our e-check program’s address [email protected] on 4/10. Remember that these checks will only go to the email address that you used to register your player this spring.

Sandy Plains Baseball COVID-19 Refund

SPBA Families,

Yesterday, we sent the below email explaining our partial refund decision to all the email accounts that registered players this season.  We did this so we could ensure all of these specific emails were good and we did not receive any bound-back messages, etc.  We found that some emails had “unsubscribed” so we reached out to those accounts directly.  

Note: The email address that a player was registered under is the email address that will be receiving the refund e-check.

We are asking each family to check the email account where they registered their player and make sure that you received the below email.  If you did not receive the below email please contact [email protected]com

E-check Refunds will be sent on 4/10. 

Refund Donation option:

We have had several families reach out to us and express that they would like to donate any refund that they would have received, to help others.  We felt that this was a fantastic idea, so we are setting up the SPBA Scholarship Fund for future families who are in financial need.  The fund will give registration scholarships to families in need so their children can play ball at SPBA.  100% of the money donated will go to SPBA families in need.

We have already received several donations from our SPBA families, and we thank you!  Our SPBA members form one large family and together we will emerge from this even stronger.

Sandy Plains Baseball COVID-19 Refund

SPBA Families,

We are in truly unprecedented times and we hope that this email finds you all safe and healthy.

In accordance with Governor Kemp’s order to close schools for the remainder of this school year, we will be canceling our remaining 2020 Spring Season. As we had indicated last week we are able to provide our members with a partial refund for the Spring season.  After taking into account the significant upfront expenses we will be able to refund 55% of the registration fees.  Additionally, we have spoken with the County and they have given us permission to refund all Spring County Fees.

The refunds will be sent out as electronic checks, one for each player registered.  For example, if you have 3 players, then you will receive 3 refund e-checks.  The checks will be sent to the email on the account that the players were registered under. 

We will send out a notification soon as to when you should see the checks in your emails.  There will also be a separate email on pictures that will come in a few days.
