2010 7U COUGARS WIN DIZZY DEAN WORLD SERIES

With memories of last season�s perfect 35-0 record in 6U, the Sandy Plains Cougars, a year older, dreamed of achieving success and earning another World Series Championship.

Once the team was re-assembled in May with new additions Kyle Carlson and Michael Pasquali, conversations quickly summoned last year�s edict, �You have to earn it on every batted ball. You have to earn it every time at the plate.� and before heading onto the field, Coach Redman�s mantra, �What�s the invitation to my party!?�, the Cougars yell, �GLOVES!� Responding on the diamond, the Cougars doled out more than their fair share of glove-like invitations to opposing offenses.

2011 16U Sandy Plains Wildcats Tryouts

The 16U Sandy Plains Wildcats will be holding tryout sessions for the fall 2010 and Spring 2011 season at Harrison Park Field #6.

Thursday Aug 5th from 7pm - 9pm
Saturday Aug 7th from 3pm - 6pm
Sunday August 8th from 5pm -7:30pm.

The 15U Sandy Plains Wildcats and Prowlers will be holding combined tryout sessions for the fall 2010 and Spring 2011 season at Harrison Park Field #6.

Saturday - August 7 - 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Sunday - Auigust 8 - 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday - August 11 - 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

2011 12U Sandy Plains Travel Tryouts

The 2011 12U Sandy Plains Wildcats & Prowlers have set open tryout dates:

Wednesday July 28th @ 6:30pm

Saturday July 31st @ 4:00pm

Tryouts will begin promptly at the times indicated, so please arrive a few minutes early to allow time to get signed in.

Both tryouts will take place at Harrison Park, Field #5.

If you are unable to attend our open tryout, but would like to be considered for a roster spot on either team, please contact us to schedule an individual workout.

2010 9U Cougars play to an incredible 4th place finish at World Series!

The 2010 9U Cougars, have finished an incredible summer of All Star Baseball. The Cougars played in 6 tournaments and progress further in every tournament. No other team in the state is able to make that claim. Our boys came together as a team and realized that playing together was much more successful than playing alone. Our highlights include a 4th place finished in Districts, qualifying us for the State A tournament at LFO. We had a good State tournament and pulled off an upset of a highly touted team from the Buckhead area.

The Wildcats ad Prowlers will host a comobined open tryouts on the following dates:

Saturday, July 24, Field 3 at Harrison Park, 10am to 1pm.
Sunday, July 25, Field 3 at Harrison Park, 1pm to 3pm.

It is recommended that you attend both tryout sessions, or portions of both. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

We have exciting things going on at Sandy Plains travel baseball including proposed practice sessions with the likes of a former major league pitching coach during the season, as well as other former pro and college coaches and players to work with our players. We believe in using the best outside instruction available in addition to our knowledgeable full time coaching staff for pitching, catching, IF, OF, and hitting. We also have in past years raised $5-8K in funds from running tournaments to offset costs for outside instruction as well as general budget. We want to build Sandy Plains travel back to the Major competitor it was in past years, and get our boys ready for their High School teams. We hope you will consider being a part of the Sandy Plains travel family at the 14U age level.

Seven days ago the Sandy Plains Cougars 7U team entered Georgia�s State Tournament with 23 of the best teams the state had to offer. Leading up to the tournament, teams set themselves up to face district and regional matchups as well as opposition from all over the state.
