Tournaments: 2010 7U COUGARS WIN DIZZY DEAN WORLD SERIES
Cougar News With memories of last season’s perfect 35-0 record in 6U, the Sandy Plains Cougars, a year older, dreamed of achieving success and earning another World Series Championship.

Once the team was re-assembled in May with new additions Kyle Carlson and Michael Pasquali, conversations quickly summoned last year’s edict, “You have to earn it on every batted ball. You have to earn it every time at the plate.” and before heading onto the field, Coach Redman’s mantra, “What’s the invitation to my party!?”, the Cougars yell, “GLOVES!” Responding on the diamond, the Cougars doled out more than their fair share of glove-like invitations to opposing offenses.

Tournaments: 2010 9U Cougars play to an incredible 4th place finish at World Series!
Cougar News The 2010 9U Cougars, have finished an incredible summer of All Star Baseball. The Cougars played in 6 tournaments and progress further in every tournament. No other team in the state is able to make that claim. Our boys came together as a team and realized that playing together was much more successful than playing alone. Our highlights include a 4th place finished in Districts, qualifying us for the State A tournament at LFO. We had a good State tournament and pulled off an upset of a highly touted team from the Buckhead area.

Tournaments: 2010 8U Cougars Win Dizzy Dean District 4 Championship
Cougar News It all started on Thursday, June 24th against the NYO Bombers. The Bombers couldn’t help feeling a little overconfident going into the game. Two weeks earlier, the Bombers handed the Cougars their worst loss of the summer when they handily defeated our short-staffed team at the Hobgood Showdown to win the Silver Bracket Championship. Our Cougars ran out of gas after playing 3 games in 100 degree heat with only 9 players.

Tournaments: 2010 7U Cougars Show Well In 8U SCRA Tournament
Cougar News This weekend the 7U Cougars played with the 8 yr olds in the 11 team 8U SCRA tournament.

Friday evening began with a 15-0 victory over the only other 7U team in the tournament, Sharon Springs.

Saturday the Cougars faced one of two East Cherokee teams. The Cougars quickly realized eight year old boys are a bit quicker, and hit the ball a bit harder than some of the seven year old competition they had faced up to this point. They had dug themselves a hole, trailing 16-3 going into the home half of the fourth inning. Play was slow, and getting in more than five innings was going to be difficult.

Tournaments: 2010 7U Cougars Win the Lake City Classic!!
Cougar News Congratulations to the 7U Cougars for a hard fought tournament victory this weekend. This team played tremendous defense during the pool games, giving up only 6 runs in two games. In a 12 tournament event the Cougars were the #2 seed in the gold bracket.

This seed earned us a bye in the first round. The second round began at 1pm yesterday after multiple rain delays. The Cougar bats were a bit quieter than normal, but the gloves were spectacular. In the semi-final round yesterday, the Cougars shut out the Kennesaw Generals, 6-0.

Tournaments: 2010 12U Wildcats Win Grizzly Growl Tournament
Travel Info The 12U Wildcats continued to show that pitching and good defense will WIN Championships. The 12U Wildcats went 5-0 in their last tournament outing which included a combine \\\"NO Hither\\\" by two pitchers Max McCray and Zach Jones. Generally we do not single out any players, as it is about the TEAM, but their performance on the hill that game was just Outstanding! To note all the pitchers for this last tournament threw extremely well! Go Wildcats!!!!
