Travel Team News: February Frost Tournament kicks off Honoring Georgia State Trooper Chad Lecroy
Something Extra The 11U Sandy Plains Wildcats will officially dedicate their entire season to the memory of the late State Trooper Chad LeCroy, brother to teammate Jake and son of Bill LeCroy, on February 18th at the February Frost “Season Opener” at Harrison Park. For several seasons, the Sandy Plains Wildcats have coached and played the game of baseball in the local community through three simple rules: “Have fun. Play hard. Respect your teammates.” But this year is different. In Chad’s memory, the Wildcats have added a 4th rule to honor an outstanding servant, brother, father and husband: “Win with class.”

The 14-U Prowlers would like to thank all the players and families that came to our tryouts last weekend. We were honored by the number of boys who were interested in playing on the team. With over 40 players to consider, the task of narrowing our team down to 12 has proven to be a challenge. We are working hard to finalize the roster, but have not yet been able to do so; by the initial August 15 date. Our goal is to be able to announce the roster within the next couple of days. We appreciate everyone\'s understanding as we work through the process.

The 9U wildcats took home the 2006 "Simply the Best" world series title held june 26 thru july 2nd in Panama City, Florida. The cats swept through the tournament undefeated and finished with an astounding 75-22 run differential over a field of teams from Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, and Georgia.

The title game was an exciting one as the Cats fell behind by an early 8-1 deficit to the talented east cobb warriors. However, great relief pitching and a powerful lineup eventually took over and sealed the championship with a 13-9 victory.

the wildcats were paced by connor cashaw, taylor lobus, chas hadden, christopher siebert, matt cole, austin stanley, josh mccullar, ryan kopec, braden zarbnisky, christopher botsoe, and russell aarons.

The tournament was highlighted by matt cole's perfect game against the oregon park stingers in the quarterfinals. congtatulations to matt and every player as each wildcat contributed equally to the success and ultimate world series champioship for the team.

Way to go wildcats!!!
