Tournaments: 2010 11U Cougars Win Kennesaw General Jam Tournament

Congratulations to the 11U Sandy Plains Cougars, they won the Kennesaw General Jam tournament.
The Cougars beat the following teams:
Beat Oregon Park Hitmen 12 - 7
Beat Acworth Blue 14 - 5
Beat Rehoboth 6 - 3
By winning all their games in pool play, the Cougars earned a first place seeding for bracket play.
To win the tournament the Cougars beat the following teams back to back on Sunday:
Beat Acworth Orange 7 - 5 (Good pitching from Reese Whitten and Matthew Link with Jordan Phillips and Reese both hitting home runs)
Beat Rehoboth 15 - 3 (Good pitching from Jordan Phillips and Gabe Lopez, with Bear Hirsch hitting a home run)
The 11U Cougars played well the entire tournament: fielding, hitting, and base-running. The team is made up of the following players:
Shawn Burton, Ryan Dickinson, Grant Edwards, Mack Haskin, Kyle Hinton, Bear Hirsch, Matthew Link,
Gabriel Lopez, Jordan Phillips, Tyler Westbrook, and Reese Whitten, and is coached by manager Bob Edwards, coaches: Jim Haskin, Kevin Hirsch, and Mike Westbrook.
