Dear Board Members,

I received an email a few days ago from Win with a disturbing reduction in membership for the fall season by approximately 80 children. I have spoken to friends of mine in the other sports and their number are up (football - now that it is at Lassiter and lacrosse - up more than 10%). With that said, I would suggest that we REDUCE our budget numbers initailly by 10-15% of what we had last year and then see where those numbers shake out. We can review them in a couple of weeks once I receive them from each of you. By the way, I have not received any numbers from anyone. I need those if we are going to review them at the next Board meeting. We have had several weeks to put those together and we should be close. Please send them ASAP.

Also, I know it is early in the season, but we are NOT collecting very much in concessions revenue. Sales are off for the first two weeks of the season. That being said, we need to put the brakes on our spending for the next few weeks until we see if there is any increase in concessions. If you plan on spending, even if within your current budget, let's talk prior to make sure we will not be pushed for the fall season.
